Centres must also have an early childhood teacher (ECT) with an approved early childhood teaching qualification. Details on these requirements can be found on the ACECQA website here. MTA courses are standalone and provide important learnings about Montessori theory and practice for educators and teachers who are already working in the sector or who have completed a generic qualification.
